Among the 20 largest European automakers, only Dacia is expanding. There were at least 277,885 Dacia sold in the year's first half. Dacia is an outlier in an auto industry plagued by falling sales, rising prices, and supply issues in general.
Dacia reported a 5.9% increase in sales from the first half of 2021 to the same period the following year in conjunction with the release of their half-year report in the middle of July. And it's not just one hot item driving up sales; business is booming in every sector.
With 112,000 units sold through June, an increase of 1.8% compared to the same period in 2021, the Dacia Sandero maintains its position as the best-selling model. The Dacia Sandero is followed closely by the Duster, which has seen a 5.5% increase in sales to 99,000 units.
The latest model, the 100% electric Dacia Spring, has sold at a rate of 5,000 units per month since the New Year, placing them in the top three of the electric car market for private individuals. The Dacia Jogger, released last spring, has sales of 21,700 units. In the six months since the Jogger's introduction, over 50,000 orders have been placed, with an astounding 64 percent going to the top-tier Extreme version.
The new number validates Dacia Sandero's position as Europe's best-selling personal vehicle since 2017. Concerning private sales of SUVs, the Dacia Duster has been 2018's best-seller and is currently the market's number two best-seller.
This indicates that Dacia is the third best-selling brand among European consumers.
The high numbers of sales can be attributed to both brand loyalty and successful marketing campaigns that lure buyers away from competing automobile manufacturers. 75% of people who buy a Dacia have never owned a car from that brand before, and 64% of current Dacia owners repurchase a Dacia when they need a new vehicle.
In the first half of 2022, the company's passenger car sales were up around 40% from the same period in 2021. Part of the growth can be attributed to the addition of the Dacia Jogger seven-seater family car. At the same time, the popularity of the Dacia Duster and Dacia Sandero has also contributed. @via Renault Sweden.
