Mercedes-AMG is putting the finishing touches on a very limited number of special edition SL63 roadsters named the "Motorsport Collectors Edition." The roadster, inspired by the 2022 W13 E Performance Formula 1 car piloted by British racing combination Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, will be produced in a limited global run of only 100 units.

After two seasons with black paint, the corporation returned to its original Silver Arrows look. The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team has struggled to replicate the levels of success achieved in prior years in the 2022 season. He finished third, with enough points to finish comfortably clear of Alpine's fourth place and nearly enough points to take second place from Ferrari.

Like the race vehicle that inspired it, the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Motorsport Collectors Edition roadster has two-tone paint that fades from high-tech metallic silver to obsidian black metallic at the car's rear. Petronas Blue highlights can also be found on the front apron, side panels, and rear diffuser of the SL63. Mercedes-AMG placed the Mercedes star motif on the automobile's rear to reference the Formula 1 car's hood.

AMG introduced an aerodynamic package that improves the car's aerodynamics by adding larger front and rear apron flaps, a larger rear diffuser, and a reworked underbody. The AMG Night option adds gloss black to the front splitter, side skirts, mirror caps, and rear diffuser decorative detail. Its sibling, the AMG Night Package II, includes black chrome for the typography, a Mercedes star at the back, and the radiator grille.

Mercedes hasn't published pricing details, but each car has a unique AMG inside cover. This should ease any concerns about overpricing.
