Victoria Apanasenko is preparing hard for the "Miss Universe" pageant. She debuted in the national costume, designed for the girl's appearance in the national costume exhibition. Victoria Apanasenko is Miss Universe Ukraine 2022.
"Warrior of Light" is the name of the costume. It represents our country's struggle against darkness. Victoria Apanasenko wields a weapon like the warlike Archangel Michael, who protects Ukraine with a sword. Her body is armored, and she carries light through the darkness that has come to our countries with the aggressor.
The image employs five primary materials and elements. A monolithic jumpsuit that wraps Victoria like a second skin and represents armor. A white gown with an embroidered stylization and puffy sleeves, a skirt that required more than 10 meters of cloth in total, and a modern hemline. The costume is adorned with a typical Ukrainian corn-ear hat. Symbolic battle wings, framed in blue and gold armor in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, opened for the decisive battle and were embellished with numerous mirror embellishments.
Lesya Patoka, the famous Ukrainian designer who previously developed images for Onuka, Jamala, Boombox, Pianoboy, Serhiy Babkin, Ola Polyakova, and other stars, devised and created the "Warrior of Light" outfit. It was made in Ukraine for four months under challenging circumstances, to the sound of sirens, without electricity, and by candlelight. "It was critical for us to develop the image of a girl who is not only attractive but also strong-willed, personifying Ukraine as a whole—indomitable, bold, and free." "Despite all of the obstacles and hurdles, we were able to complete an image on time because every one of us is a warrior in our own right," Lesya Patoka, the inventor of the concept and the founder of the Patoka studio, explains.
Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov (FROLOV) created the look for going out in evening outfits. Many well-known and young Ukrainian brands joined the development of Victoria's looks for the Miss Universe competition, including Bevza, the COAT by Katya Silchenko, Alina Balykina, Yuliya Magdych, Foberini, J'amemme, O.TAJE, Olya Mak, Katerina Rutman, Marsego, HeySis!, Betta La Betta, L'Ange Blanc, Nadya Dzyak, Bagllet, Lovandbag, Cover, Mantica. As a result, the organizers attempted to provide every designer with the opportunity to participate in Ukraine's international marketing and showcase our country's great artists.
