Labradorite stone was originally seen in Labrador, Canada, in 1770. Small stays of those gemstone were also found among the artifacts belonging to the red-painted People of Maine. The premium quality spectrality variety has been only discovered during the Second World War in Finland. Deposits have also been found in India, Newfoundland, Russia, and Madagascar.
