Toyota's premium brand is starting the age of fully electric drives. The new Lexus RZ 450e electric SUV brings a technical innovation: It is the first car that completely dispenses with a mechanical connection between the steering wheel and steering gear and instead uses so-called steer-by-wire.
The Lexus RZ 450e will be on the market in early 2023. The electric SUV is based on the same technology platform as the new Toyota bZ4X and has the same performance data: two electric motors - one with 150 kW (204 hp) on the front axle and one with 80 kW (109 kW) on the rear axle - with one System output of 230 kW (313 hp).
